How do I book an appointment?

I accept self-paying clients and I am registered with all the major health insurance companies.


How do I book an appointment if I have private health insurance?

If you have private medical insurance and would like your assessment and treatment to be paid for by your insurance provider, you will require a referral from your GP.   

Your insurer will give you an authorisation number once you have confirmed you have a referral from your GP. Please quote your authorisation number to my secretary to book your appointment. I will invoice your insurer directly.


How much are your fees if I am self-funding?

I charge a standard rate of £320 for a 40 minute appointment.

This includes initial consultations and follow up appointments.

Please note that the full fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations with less than one full working day’s notice


What happens in an assessment?

The goal of the assessment is to understand the nature of the problem and to arrive at a diagnosis.  This is done by taking a general medical, family and social history and asking questions about the onset and symptoms of the main mental health issues, which will help me to form a diagnosis.
