How do I book an appointment?

Please call 02079353878 to book an appointment with me through my secretarial team (during office hours Monday-Friday).  My usual clinic times are Monday morning 8am-1pm and Friday afternoon 2pm-7pm.  Some alternative morning, evening and weekend appointments are available either at Pinero House or the Nightingale Hospital by arrangement.

I accept self-paying clients and I am registered with all the major health insurance companies. If you have private medical insurance and would like your assessment and treatment to be paid for by your insurance provider, you will require a referral from your GP.

Your insurer will give you an authorisation number once you have confirmed you have a referral from your GP. Please quote your authorisation number to my secretary to book your appointment.

How much are the fees?

If you are insured, I will invoice your insurer directly. Fees are available on request if you are self-paying.  Payment may be made by cheque, cash, bank transfer OR all major credit cards, other than American Express.   A receipt can be provided on request.

Please note that the full fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations with less than one full working day’s notice.

What happens in an initial assessment?

The goal of the assessment is to understand the nature of the problem and arrive at a diagnosis.  This is done by asking questions about the main mental health problem(s) and asking other relevant background questions – including questions about your physical health, family and personal life – to help build a complete picture.

I understand that this may involve asking a number of very personal questions.  My approach is to do this sensitively and in a non-judgemental way.

What do I do if I need help outside office hours?

In the event of an emergency, please contact me via the Nightingale Hospital on 02075357700.

For non-urgent enquiries, please email me. I will aim to reply within 24 hours.
